Encounter issues while importing 3D MTS files to Avid/Premiere? This article will discuss how to edit 3D MTS files in Avid/Premiere easily.
3D MTS files in Avid Media Composer:
I recently upgraded from Avid MC to the latest, hoping for a way to use stereoscopic 3D files from my Sony HDR-TD10 3D camera. It produces 3D .MTS files, but when importing them into a 3D project, Avid treats them as 2D material. Did you meet such issue? Do you have any workflow of 3D MTS in Avid to me?
3D MTS files in Premiere CC:
I have a 3d camera SONY HDR-TD10 that I want to use this summer for underwater video.
The main issue that I’m encountering is that I’m having hard time to have premiere pro cc 2017 to recognize the MTS file as a 3D format. I have looked everywhere and I still cannot find a solution. Do I need to convert 3D MTS to 3D MP4 first?
Nowadays, top camera manufacturers like Sony, JVC and Panasonic have introduced consumer-friendly 3D camcorders like Sony DSC-WX30, Sony HDR-TD10, Sony HDR-TD20, JVC Everio GS-TD1, JVC GY-HMZ1U, Panasonic HDC-Z10000, Panasonic AG-3DA1, Panasonic AG-3DP1 .etc. If you wanna edit 3D AVCHD videos in Avid/Premiere or other NLEs, you’d better convert 3D MTS to a friendly format that NLEs support since currently few NLEs can natively afford 3D AVCHD files.
What I used to encode 3D MTS files is Brorsoft MTS Converter for Mac.
Overall, this 3D AVCHD convert program can handle both 3D and 2D MTS videos and transcode AVCHD to Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, etc Mac tools editable format(common 2D, or Anaglyphic 3D). It works excellent and converts seamlessly. What’s more, the 3D MTS files handling tool provides you the editing features, so you can also choose to trim, crop, add watermark to your original videos. If you have the 3D MTS playing and editing issues on PC, please turn to Brorsoft 3D MTS Converter to solve all the problems.
